Asparagus

The title of my post.  Plain and simple.
Where "Valentine's Day" just isn't sufficient, "Asparagus" is unexpected and enticing.
It's so much more than love, and hearts, and pinks and reds.
It references dinner.
And it signifies a dinner spent with the one that I love.

The main dish?
Pan-seared bacon-wrapped scallops.
Ah-mazing!
We decided that we could ::probably:: eat scallops every day, all day.
:)
And for us, the "best supporting" dish goes to the asparagus.
It was divine!
EVOO, salt, pepper, and worchetshire sauce.
Roasted in the oven.
Yumm!
We also had wild rice, and a baquette.

And a smeal of desserts fit for a king and queen!
Chocolate-covered Strawberries
Chocolate Mousse Cake
Or cupcakes from Gigi's.

Happy Valentines Day to all my loves!
I hope that all of the love shared on this day warms your heart!
