California Dreamin'

all the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day

I'd be safe and warm
if I was in L.A
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day

stopped into a church
I passed along the way
well, I got down on my knees
and I pretend to pray

you know the preacher likes the cold
he knows I'm gonna stay
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day

all the leaves are brown
and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day

if I didn't tell her
I could leave today
California Dreamin'
on such a winter's day x3

Recycled picture... but fitting.
I can't wait to be back at the beach!

(Oh, and I love this song!)
Speaking of that, I've always loved this song.
I remember there was this movie called "Congo" where these people are searching for diamonds in the Congo, and they start singing this song in their trek.
A few years later, this song takes me back to my Photo class in high school.  We had to take a self-portrait, and as a matter of completing the assignment, I have my eyes closed, and am resting my head on my hand.  The picture is dreary and dark, but I decided to title it "California Dreamin".
Today, this is one of my favorite songs to sing along to... and I'm pretty sure it will always be.
