Blue Ridge Camping Weekend

We got a wild hair.
We decided to take the kids camping in Blue Ridge.
To our credit, the "camping" aspect was camping in a pop-up tent with an attached bathroom and cooking area. Not too strenuous, right?
What we didn't expect was the downpour on rain on Friday night that left EVERYTHING muddy and not suitable for a crawler and restless toddler.
And so, the weekend was a smidge more stressful than we were all hoping.
But we did have a lot of good moments! And even some sunshine and pool time!

In the end, my need to go camping with the kids have been fulfilled for a bit. ;)

Family picture on the swinging bridge - so glad we did this little hike!

What a way to spend the first day of his 33rd year!

Courter conked-out on one of the beds after a full day of exploring Blue Ridge, hiking in the woods, and playing at the pool.
